10:30 AM Room: Track: Comprehensive Board Review Speaker/s: Tara Sakevich DPM Podiatrist Moderator: Description: This lecture will cover how to appropriately manage a diabetic foot infection. This will include case presentations that simulate what can be experienced taking the board exams. Medical management, infection management and the appropriate lab tests, imaging, and consultations will be presented. Appropriate treatment options and surgical intervention and complications will be discussed. Learning Objectives: -Discussion of diabetic foot infections in regards to case presentations as formatted for the board exams -Practice Cases will be presented -Appropriate medical work-up, laboratory tests and imaging will be discussed -Treatment and Surgical planning and concerns will be discussed |
