10:15 AM Room: Track: Comprehensive Board Review Speaker/s: Stephen Geller DPM, FACFAS Moderator: Description: Wound care is the most beneficial area of medicine to study for boards. From an experienced item writer, the key concepts of wound healing science will be reviewed in a manner to help guide a candidate's board preparation. Content will begin with control of infection, assuring adequate circulation to heal, and off-loading. These basic concepts will branch out directing the candidate to study various other medical topics, such as endocrinology, cardiology, medical imaging, nephrology, perioperative management, anesthesia, hematology/oncology, rheumatology, immunology, etc. The presentation will familiarize the candidate with the style of questions as they may appear on an exam and lend insights into the thought process of item writing.
