11:30 AM Room: Track: Comprehensive Board Review Speaker/s: Murray Butler DPM Foot & Ankle Surgeon Moderator: Description: The section entitled 'Lateral Ankle Instability' is designed to assist the listener identify and treat the condition of a chronic unstable lateral ankle. This lecture is presented to help the listener formulate a treatment strategy for these patients and address complications. This lecture is designed to help the listener visualize clinical signs, use diagnostic tests, and understand treatment options to better be prepared for examination as well as treating patients. Learning Objectives: 1. Be able to identify when operative intervention is necessary and establish reasonable goals. 2. Know when to perform a primary repair versus an augmented repair of collateral ligaments. 3. Understand how to address coordinating structural pathology. |
